Blueprint of Stars

This little piece is for this week's Trifextra challenge.  It is from my favourite book, Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino.  I like reading it whilst nesting.

A New Project Perhaps

I think I'm going to start working on a zine.... and my idea was to write it about lots of imaginary animals and maybe draw them too.  So if you, my feathered friends, would name your favourite two animals then I will combine them and make up a new one to write about!

Some Things Are Small

it lies behind the eyes
even if
even if it walked out in front of us
crossed us in the street
and stroke
spoke
nodded
it would still be too small to be noticed
see
only chemists could possibly
even start to understand
all those microscopic lovers brushing
brushing bodies
brushing bones
brushing hands
it is small
so small
unlike the pain
exchanged for expectations
a cheap fuck
and blood on the floor



You sometimes when I feel depressed I just waste my time completely reading stuff and writing terribly bad poetry.
